The German veteran power metallers HELLOWEEN will release their long-awaited new album, “Giants & Monsters”, on August 29th via Reigning Phoenix Music (as we have reported in previous article). According to the label, the LP, which is already available for pre-order, promises to be the band's most diverse and dynamic release to date. "Giants & Monsters" was mixed at the legendary Wisseloord Studios (IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST, DEF LEPPARD) in Hilversum, the Netherlands.
The album's first single, "This Is Tokyo," featuring singers Andi Deris and Michael Kiske, was released a few hours ago. "This is Tokyo" is accompanied by a visual tribute to Japan.
The piece has personal significance for Deris, who states:
“I always wanted to write this song. Japan plays a special role in my life, as it was where I had my first big hits. I’ve wanted to create a tribute to Japan for a long time and finally found the right lyrics. Because ‘Tokyo’ sounds better than ‘Japan’, the city represents the whole country which is very important to me.”
