LECHUGA – Released a new single

Chilean progressive metallers LECHUGA independently released their new single titled Fret Not with the cooperation of musicians Chase Bryant on bass and Christopher Orozco in drums. The production, recording, mixing and Mastering was done by Bejamín Lechuga in Los Angeles, California. Drums were recorded by Pancho Arenas at CO Drumlab Labs.

So, how did I end up here? Let me tell you a story.

It all started with me wanting a simple Strat-style guitar. I found this cheap one on Reverb.com and thought, “Hey, the sound comes from the fingers, right? You don't need an expensive guitar to sound good." When it arrived, I was thrilled- it looked great! But… wow. It was crap. I thought about selling it, but no one was interested in a random, unbranded guitar. So, I thought, "Why not experiment a little?" The softness of the fretless neck. It was like discovering a whole new language. I was stuck.

My DIY fretless experiment was just completed – I posted a few cover videos, and to my surprise, Ernie Ball noticed, showing interest in sharing my content. That moment sparked a journey I never expected.

Fast forward, and I collaborated with Aristides Guitars to design a custom seven-string fretless with a stainless steel fretboard. The result; Absolutely amazing. It's not just a guitar – it's a new career path, a calling. And now, that sound, that feeling, is captured in FRET NOT.
