For the album “Shadow of Another”
Fading Echoes' debut album, "Shadow of Another", was released in July 2024 and is a concept album that delves into the stages of grief and mental healing. Through musical compositions of a high level and emotional intensity, the album explores five main stages of mourning: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance and complements them with three more songs that complete this journey, both for the hero and the listener.

The Pentalogy “The Stages of Grief”, a series of five tracks, unfolds like an emotional journey, where each track approaches the process of loss and healing differently. The album culminates with the song "Acceptance", in which the legendary Zak Stevens (Savatage, Trans-Siberian Orchestra) participates as a guest, offering with his interpretation a unique dimension of emotional intensity. "Shadow of Another" consists of complex melodies and atmospheric compositions that combine technical perfection with emotional honesty.

Fading Echoes, a progressive metal band from Volos, Greece, have emerged as an innovative voice in the genre since their formation in 2019. Driven by their commitment to music that touches deeply, the band combines technical skill with emotionally charged soundscapes.

Their debut album, Shadow of Another, captures this artistic approach, introducing audiences to their unique blend of intricate melodies, complex rhythms and atmospheric textures. Shadow of Another becomes more than a musical work; it reflects personal experiences, inviting listeners to confront and reflect on their own emotional journeys.

The band initially started with Dimitris Stratikis (vocals and bass), Vassilis Sarou (piano and keyboards) and Petros Printezis (electric guitar), later expanding the lineup with Giorgos Theodoropoulos (guitar) and Theoharis Theocharakis (drums). Guest musicians Dimitris Politis (guitar) and Nikos Velentzas (drums) also contributed to the album, adding new dimensions to its rich sound. With influences from bands such as Savatage, Katatonia, Opeth and Evergrey, Fading Echoes have forged a style that honors these influences while delivering an authentic, emotional experience.

The concept album Shadow of Another, released in July 2024, explores the sensitive themes of loss and healing. The heart of the work lies in the Pentalogy of the Stages of Grief, a series of pieces that examine the emotional journey through Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance. Each piece unfolds like a chapter, rendering the healing process through powerful compositions. The final track, "Acceptance", features a guest appearance by Zak Stevens (Savatage, Trans-Siberian Orchestra), lending a shocking emotional dimension to the work.

In 2024, Fading Echoes signed with Wormholedeath, facilitating worldwide distribution of their album. The release has already garnered attention from magazines and radio stations around the world, highlighting the band's ability to cross genre boundaries and reach a wide audience. With Shadow of Another, Fading Echoes embark on a promising journey, committed to supporting this debut release with live performances, having given their baptism of fire in their hometown of Volos to a highly successful debut and taking the next big step at Temple Athens on 17/01/2025.

Then, the singles "Fragile" and "Waterfall" were released in lyric videos. The design of the logo and the artwork of the album was done by Heraklis Horaitis (Herc), while the mixing and mastering of the record was done by Odysseus Kalogeropoulos.
