THE LORD WEIRD SLOUGH FEG – New EP release

The American heavy metallers THE LORD WEIRD SLOUGH FEG have announced the release of their new EP titled Traveller Supplement 1: The Ephemeral Glades which is set to be released on April 11th via Cruz Del Sur. Music. So far, a single titled Knife World has been released.

Bay Area underground metal heroes Slough Feg revive the classic Traveller story on Traveller Supplement 1: The Ephemeral Glades EP – seven songs of pure weird metal glory!

This episode begins with a clone-drone in orbit around Mithril - a frozen planet in the Sword Worlds subdomain. The android/clone has been created by the exiled Professor Ricket, who remains a transformed Vargr (a carnivorous stock carnivore hunter), lives on his secret asteroid-ship "The Rock" and plots his revenge on the Zhodani consulate, while searching for his arch-enemy Baltech Budapest (who is also still half-human, half-Vargr). The professor's research into the effects of Psionics on Zhodani society is now being used in an attempt to attack the Zhodani with their own psychological weapons.

Meanwhile, our hero, Baltech Budapest, is hiding in Mithril under layers of ice in the Ephemeral Glades. Ephemeral Galdas are frozen lakes on the planet's surface that remain impermeable until the temperature rises above freezing. When temperatures rise, flora seeds germinate and sprout, pushing shoots above the snow, creating a lush clearing within a day. Insects and small reptiles breed rapidly in this environment, creating a rich flora and fauna, which will die once the temperature drops again. During this short period of time the drone can locate and possibly capture Baltech in his cave beneath the ephemeral clearings. Once located, the drone calls for reinforcements to capture and kidnap Baltech. Can he escape the Ephemeral Glades and escape the planet Mithril? Or will he be recaptured by Professor Ricketts and forced to serve as the leader of the new Vargr-hybrid race! These songs tell the story……
